A 10-year-old boy with autism and blindness sings. His voice took everyone by surprise. Ten-year-old Christopher Duffley is a blind autistic youngster with a remarkable voice. He proves that a person’s appearance does not necessarily indicate their level of ability.

When Christopher Duffley was four years old, he received a microphone. He was categorized as “significantly delayed” in speech, social interaction, and cognitive ability, but he started singing and embarked on a global tour that moved audiences.

At the age of ten, he was performing the national anthem in Fenway Park, and by the age of eleven, he was a YouTube celebrity. Millions of people from many backgrounds were influenced by Christopher without him even realizing it. Chris has always taught us that we are limitless—all we need is a small reminder—in every song and lecture he has ever given.

Because of his medication exposure, Christopher was born weighing just 1 pound, 12 ounces. He spent five months in the ICU before being put with a foster family. After finding him, his birth aunt brought him to New Hampshire where she adopted him into her six-person family. His struggles with complete blindness and severe disabilities would mold the new life that awaited him.
